Sort of, yeah. The latest events have shaken me greatly.

I plan on writing about whatever I happen to think regarding the old and the new forum.

I don't feel like participating in discussions here. At the same time, I do sometimes get opinions on things. So whenever the urge to express them becomes unbearable, I'll come here and vent it. That's my plan of actions)

I can't think of any one either. Though it's no wonder, since I'm no expert in the field. I much prefer songs in Russian. This is one I've just come across. The girls are worth watching anyway: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4AT_4Tb_2A.

You do? I've been listening to music in English since I was a teenager. I believe I can count all Russian songs that have ever made it to my playlist on the fingers of one hand.

Regarding the old forum's archives

I agree with Kind Punk when he points out that everything that was written on the old forum might as well be considered a lost cause, much like all those beautiful and enlightening spoken exchanges many of us might've had in life. I also agree with vientoamares when she mentions the fact that the information lost wasn't any kind of revelation or some sort of sacred text and can be found elsewhere. Consequently, I consider the new forum's attempts to retrieve and save old posts a wasted effort and a snipe hunt. Let the dead be dead.

By the way, speaking of the dead. I can't help but think of the old forum's demise as corporal death. Therefore, I regard all demands and efforts to access the dead forum as if people wanted to see and use a corpse. On the other hand, it wasn't indeed a literal death, that's why we have to actually deal with the very much alive and outspoken "deceased", so to say. So I would like to repeat what I've said elsewhere, too many people had spoken and acted too soon, and everything could've been done in a much more civilized manner, namely, the old forum might've been returned to the grieving community in read-only mode, with all previous owner's contact info removed and the new administration being left responsible for dealing with legal matters. Much more could've been done if people just stopped and thought for a moment.

The old forum is already almost like a dream to me. The people are here, more or less, and the change of the forum engine doesn't matter that much. Even the colors are similar.

Yes, for a few years. Unfortunately, I don't remember how many. I am not a teacher, so this forum is simply like a club to me. A place that I visit now and then just for fun.

well well well, I've read all of your messages here. And you seem to be fluent enough in speaking. So I think you will hardly discgrace yourself)

Johnwesleyhardin, I'm not so sure. There are a bunch of much more fluent speakers on here who might find a ton of mistakes in my writing. However, nobody seems to care enough to do that haha. So if I were you, I'd just do my best and assume that there's no disgrace in using English)
