Nine times out of ten it's an electric razor, but every once in a while... it's a dildo. Of course it's company policy never to, imply ownership in the event of a dildo... always use the indefinite article a dildo, never your dildo.

I'd put it slightly milder and somewhat more idiomatic, IMHO )))

+1 "A pork chop in a synagogue" is great, and so is Keith Bradford's Observation.
And how about "tits on a boar"?
Prick is an unpleasant emotion that is felt for a short time, e.g. a tiny prick of fear )))Point of information for any student who may still be in the dark:

This one.
No, it's a matter of register and context, same as usual. The one with the is more academic.
I think the generic 'the' is more common in example sentences ('The lion lives in Africa') than in real conversation.
This use of the definite article sounds quite stilted to me. I can't imagine saying or writing it.
And here's more on why you are more likely to see the used with specific breeds/types/scientific names:
while it isn't incorrect to say "the cow" or "the dog" to refer to them as a collective, cows and dogs are not generally spoken of in such terms, possibly because, as domestic animals, they are both broader terms which can be further broken down into different breeds. You are more likely to hear "the Alsatian" or "the Highland" to refer to specific breeds of dogs or cows.

Easy-Breezy English,
Thank you very much for an in-deapth reply, very useful, with the links leading to other links to provide
some bits of additional, relevant to the case information.

Is it a hint or what - judging by the idiom it leads to?
If it is, do I really sound that to you, personally? :)

No hints, just some glitch in the quoting probably. I copied it straight off your post and pressed 'quote''. Idk why it ended up like that. Sorry.

Oh, please, Juliemiracle, there's nothing to be sorry about. You can't avoid glitches - they just happen :)
Besides, it's silly me to be blamed: indeed, why someone, being of sound mind, would wish to follow the link copied from his own post? )))

Оставлю здесь этот небольшой диалог. На мой взгляд, отличная иллюстрация к идее "разные артикли с одним словом = разные оттенки значений".

- I'm a purist.
- You, Mr Gourmet Cook, and you have naked pizza. That is just indecent.
- As soon as you put meat and fish and pineapple on a pizza, it's not pizza anymore. It's Franken-pizza. It's unnatural, and actually, it's insulting to the pizza.
- Now you're saying I'm insulting pizza?
- I'm surprised it's even speaking to you.
