I have an ulterior motive :) : by writing my own sentences, I try to personalise the language items and to store them in my long-term memory.
The downside, however, is that my examples aren't nearly as smooth as the ones borrowed from books. In addition, there may be some mistakes and a certain amount of inappropriacy in those contributions. Hope I won't do anyone any harm with my "brainchildren".
