I've seen that interview and think that it's a bit of an exaggeration. She doesn't take a lot of things into account.
tend to use / prefer using examshave been inclined to use exams instead of assessing students’ performance
coherence/cohesion issue )) they're well aware of what to expect ... exams or notone benefit of using exams for assessing students is that they know what to expect from the course and, therefore, are less stressed during the term
meet new requirementsadapt to new criteria each term.
Seating an exam rather than completing a series of assignments would benefitSecondly, passing one exam instead of writing a lot of different assignments is more advantageous for students with health issues, as their illnesses or absences do not have a negative impact on the final grade
put them on equal footing with the rest of the groupsuch system supports their rights for equal opportunities to receive education.
promote equality? in what way ?assessing students through exams allows students to know what to expect each term and promotes equality
The problem with this is: it allows stupid and lazy students to procrastinate and leave their exam preparations to the eleventh hour.On the other hand, one problem when students’ grades are determined by one exam at the end of the term is that most of them tend to procrastinate with studying and postpone their efforts up to several days before the final exam.
will rely on memorising rather than understanding ..students will be focused on simply memorizing facts presented to them by lecturers.
2020, 14:26 I've seen that interview and think that it's a bit of an exaggeration. She doesn't take a lot of things into account.
К people, students, subjects, jobs? Belka_Teacher пишет: ↑07 авг 2020, 19:26 There are various reasons why some people think that students should only be offered the subjects that are bound to be useful in their future jobs. Firstly, they claim this way students will be more productive and competent at workplace, which will help them advance faster in their career.
There are several reasons for arguing that universities should only offer those subjects that will be relevant in the future economy. There are various reasons why some people think that students should only be offered the subjects that are bound to be useful in their future jobs.
Therefore, the limitations in the choice of subjects are going to be imposed on students without a good reason.

I'd rephrase because not all English majors have the power of persuasion,by graduates with a degree in English, who have a way with words and the power of persuasion.
