I'm really into veganism.
It is the best way of life for me.
First of all, I do that because I love animals. Especially dogs.
I don't wear any leather, fur clothes, don't eat meat, eggs, fish, milk products.
I kept to my diet for 2 months, then stopped, but now I understood that meat/egg/fish/milk products are not mouth-watering and delicious at all. They taste like dirt to me.
And of course, it is very healthy (please, don't write any disagreeable thoughts, I am going to ignore them).
Are there my soul-mates?

I don't have a dog, and if I had a dog (of course, I prefer street dogs, not stupid spoiled breeds), it would not make any difference. Don't you know the diffrence between omnivore and carnivore?

I am afraid, you are not right, I feed street dogs. My flat is just too small (one room) to keep a dog.

But human beings are omnivores. :)
That's why it is easy-peasy to do without meat, milk, etc.
I think all this meat propaganda is an idea of McDonald's, KFC, Subway, and meat-processing plants. They need money. If people did not buy their products, what they would do?
By the way, it is an easy deal to do without fur coats. There are lots of camel, alpaca, cashmere wool coats. I could not even imagine that wool coats can be so warm, beautiful, and eco-friendly.

lulu, people shouldn't wear fur coats, but wool isn't vegan either. There are a lot of other options:)

Actually, in some cases taking wool from animals may be even profitable for them (getting rid of knotted hair, etc). But I think other true vegans can suggest more eco-friendly options.

lulu, you can easily google about mulesing and some other cruel things. And I do believe that sometimes, taking wool from animals can be harmless, like when you have a big dog for example. But if we talk about big companies, then it's not vegan at all.

Carnivores eat meat? If so, I think it would make some difference because someone would have to kill some animals so you could feed your dog.

In most cases, taking milk from cows is more than profitable for them, or the poor creatures will suffer. What do vegans suggest people do with all this liquid after they've milked the cattle? Use as a fertilizer for growing beans?

Once I resolved to observe Lent, and even though my body was OK, I had no peace of mind considering and reconsidering the limited number of options of what I could have for dinner, and it was so stressful I made a solemn promise I am never, ever going to do it again.
