Так вот, обычно хорошие наушники сопровождаются неплохим микрофоном. Это если брать гарнитуру.

Проявите креативность в поисках более свежей. Вопрос слышания решают наушники. Вопрос передачи звука микрофон. При плохих наушниках даже отличного качества звук не долетит. Если не верите, то поинтересуйтесь в людей с проблемами слуха.

I've been using Sony headphones for quite a while, from MDR-1000X to WH-1000XM3, and can say active NC does make a difference. Can you recommend a cheaper alternative of the same quality (overall experience)? :)

It is unbelievably quiet inside. I make a conclusion that manufacturers of phones are plotting against customers. You don't need "active noise reduction schema". Probably it is somehow related to the product size limitation. I can't explain.

I have a pair of phones that reduce noise quite distinctively when you just put them on. And many that not.

But 3M Peltor is something from SciFi in comparison. I ordered 10 times cheaper model of another manufacturer. I'm eager to hear the difference ))

When you know how it could be it is hard to buy many times more worth quality.

As I understand Sun, Jan 26, 21:00 MSK, 20:00 EET and we are going to continue a game with idioms.

Idioms are a bit difficult for me. Today I had practice of collocations with [mention]zymbronia[/mention] and came across term - "compound words".

I collected some easy and some unexpected compound words, first I'll ask a definition and then we'll try to build an example with word for better memorization.

What do you mean by unexpected compound words? Portmanteaus like smog (smoke + fog), motel (motor + hotel), guesstimate (guess + estimate), frenemy (friend + enemy) and faction (fact + fiction)?
