I am starting a class "Interview Questions" on Discord server.
Goals:
* preparation for the real world interviews focusing on proper use of English as language
* breaking shyness of using foreign language while talking during life changing time (everyone likes money & power)
* picking up new vocabulary (textbooks teach you pathetic words like mother/apple, we need more functional vocabulary to express own past and ideas)
We'll correct each others and analyze weaknesses in English usage or
Anyone can join the class by joining a server via the link: https://discord.gg/KERQfhN
It will take not a single year, those lists are so huge: https://www.google.com/search?q=100+interveiw+questions

I'd like to thanks zymbronia for joining the meeting and accept my apologies for hesitation during my speech.
That article is a good one on explaining it: https://www.yesware.com/blog/sell-me-this-pen/
It is surprising but this question has the definite answer! You need to ask a buyer about his/her needs and move to the point when your product may satisfy them.
That article is a good one on explaining it: https://www.yesware.com/blog/sell-me-this-pen/
I can imaging that any average person will jump to present a pen as the best in the world (remember fairs in Turkey or Egypt or wherever?).Two of the Biggest Mistakes Most Sellers Make
1. Assuming they know what someone looks for in a pen
2. Resorting to the features of the pen.
But you need to find out what customer needs. And alter your proposition accordingly or find out that it is dead customer quickly ))It’s never the feature that we care about; it’s the end benefit it gives us.

Everyone knows the basic theory behind selling anything to anyone (like discover the buyer’s needs first and then demonstrate how your product/service can benefit them; focus on benefits instead of features, etc. - the latter, btw, has its limitations, esp. in complex b2b sales). The problem is that only few can translate this knowledge into effective sales. :) What matters is how well you research your prospects (often you already know the needs/requirements and just need to confirm them), what exactly you say to discover your prospect’s needs (like in the “sell me a pencil” case where you know nothing about the person in front of you), what you do when they throw you off your winning script (seasoned HR guys can tap into a wealth of surefire techniques to do that). If you want to work in sales, you should go over quite a number of scenarios so that closing a deal no matter what will become part of you.
Do you want to start a career in sales?

I didn't until started research.Eager Beaver пишет: ↑11 дек 2019, 09:55 Everyone knows the basic theory behind selling anything to anyone
Not now. But imaging yourself in 20 years... You are highly competent but no longer quick / durable worker. A selling position may be an answer to body conditions. Let youngster seats next to a screen or operate a lathe. Start working by the tongue.
Alternative - an education system. End being a lecturer ))
Main point that you need to be ready to day broad range on positions. I feed ashamed not to know basic rules of sales ((

It seems to me "before" is a better word here.
shouldn't it be "myself"?
sturdy worker?
I cannot be sure that I can understand the meaning of the above sentence. Can you rephrase it please?

Holy moley, it is a partially rewritten sentence expecting to sound like:Michelangelo пишет: ↑11 дек 2019, 11:19 I cannot be sure that I can understand the meaning of the above sentence. Can you rephrase it please?
The main point is that you need to be ready to take wide range of positions (be useful).

Shit happens. We keep our duties and obligations for others.
Just then I was going to practice θ / ð sounds I lost significant part of may front teeth. Any can say that you are lazy if can't find an hour a day for English, but reality is such that even with your best intents you won't be able.

Very interesting. I'll try to repeat it as: https://discordapp.com/invite/KERQfhN
I made link that will expire in one day: https://discord.gg/UPyf7T
It is better to install app: https://discordapp.com/download but it is possible to use app inside browser too (it is much harder to configure or use WEB version).

There were 3 participants last Tuesday. Below notes are from my preparation.
"Where do you see yourself in five years?":
* funny: in your chair but asking a better question (PS never ever try to be funny on an job interview)
* stupid answer: I want to become a manager / director. What if company /position is unable to provide this opportunity?
* this question pursues 2 goals:
1) how long do you expect to work here (don't tell them that you are going to open own business in a half year)
2) are you over ambitious (which is fine to be if you are in sale)
"Why should we hire you?":
* funny: because you have to hire someone (don't pretend to be a jolly fellow, any gag is a mark for the end of an interview)
* good to know: if you are on the interview that means you are good enough for the job, otherwise you won't be there ))
* so employer gives you an opportunity to advertise your special skill beyond job requirements (what kind of certificates / training you got, how you helped training apprentices, any relevant extra).
* if you have prior experience you should show how your past career matches requirements.
These video show how bad can be jokes during an interview:

And what do you think about the textbook 'English for Job-Hunting'? (https://www.cambridge.org/us/cambridgee ... udio-cds-2). It tries to give tips for job-hunting and some model dialogues and useful phrases for the interviews.

It costs $38.00.
I don't want to ask participants purchasing extra material for free/no-cost classes ))
There are some useful channels that provides huge number of tips:
* https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCN_zEe ... kAQierYo3g
* https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEgQyQ ... f12FFKSYgQ
They are not English textbooks but materials to crack real world job interviews!
