Yo, it's me!
A sucking upper-intermediate English learner is asking for a piece of advice.
"Upper" is great, but intermediate/average/ordinary sucks.
I don't have a clue how rich/poor my vocabulary is, but I think, it's around 4-5 k/w. Not enough! Definitely!
Just wanted to make sure I know enough words to call myself a B2 learner.
Googled a "b2 vocabulary list" and found this link https://www.vocabulary.com/lists/187041
Made an acc at vocabulary.com, but can't fully understand how it works.
There are only 924 words there.
Could you share your thoughts on how to do this all the right way?
Should I grab da list of 4-5k most common words and add 'em manually?
Or there's a better way? I don't wanna waste my time learning common words such as colors, table, desk, shesk, etc.
So, what'd ya suggest?

That's great, found unknown words there. The idea is not only to find out the answer but also to improve the vocab. There's no way to import the words from eslgold.com to vocabulary.com automatically, is there?
How d'you ppl use dat site?

you could just take one of those vocabulary size tests available all over the internet, like this one, for example:
http://testyourvocab.com/
or just google vocabulary size test and take whichever test you like best of those that come up in the results

4.5 k
What a shame!
The thing is, I never used those Cambridge or Oxford books/tutorials to learn English, absorbed it from multiple vidz and books.
I know some rare words, but this sucks.
So, what's the best way to use vocabulary.com to learn all the words I need to call myself a B2 English learner? There must be some official list of words and some easy way to import them to the website we're talking about.

Where there's a will there's always a way. Provided that you have an account, you can make lists of your own by way of copy-pasting single words and whole lists as well. For example, https://www.vocabulary.com/lists/6020115

I'd be more than happy if you, on finding it, provided the link:-)

There's always more than one way to skin a cat.
Instead of looking for word lists for English second language learners' levels, I suggest finding out if your vocabulary size fits the approximate requirements set out for, say, native English six or seven graders.
I believe that if it does, you may call yourself a high intermediate learner--as far as your vocabulary size goes:
https://www.vocabtest.com/middle_school/6th_grade.php
Btw, there, you can also master/revise academic words by competing against other learners)

just my two cents/kopeks or whatever:
You don't want to be learning "words" you want to be learning the language.
If you want to "power up" your vocabulary of "common" words I would suggest reading some fiction in English, like mysteries or thrillers etc. they will have a fair share of "descriptive language" with detailed depictions of what the characters do, how they feel etc. and keep reading those books and watching those vidz you're interested in except maybe whenver you come across a word you don't understand go and look it up in some monoligual dictionary (something like this https://www.oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/), study the examples. If you keep using the language your vocabulary will inevitably increase over time.
Learning/memorizing words in isolation is counterproductive. It's better to encounter new words in context. The added benefit is that by doing so you'll be constantly reinforcing/consolidating the language you already know.
