I trust physics, math modeling and powerful supercomputers. However, science can't predict the future well for a long term.
I think the tomorrow's forecast is true. The three-day forecast is quite accurate. The week's forecast is doubtful and can be correct occasionally. The long-range forecasts can't be correct. Meteorologists are not magician.
The weather forecasts are often wrong. But sometimes I take an umbrella when it’s a rain was informed. I don’t believe superstitions too. But I don’t want that anybody with an empty pail crossed the road in front of me.
My experience tells me that one-day forecast is quite trust-worthy. But one can't rely upon forecasts for several days, not to mention weeks. The science behind the weather forecasts have come a long way, we have to admit that, but they are still bad and have to do a lot to avoid criticism.
I usually rely on the weather forecasts. But I tend to read about today and tomorrow. I don't think that the weather forecasts for longer period are precise enough.

Nowadays most people watch or read weather forecast every day and make their plans in accordance with it. Personally, I almost do not trust weather forecasts. Of course, if it says that it’s is going to be raining, the day might not be sunny, but if it will be raining or not is difficult to say. The temperature forecast is even more unreliable because the level of temperature changes very fast and depends on lots of things (time of day, humidity, solar power etc). But sometimes weather forecasts are very close to the truth, especially when they are made for a short period of time. So it is still difficult to say if we must trust them or not. I think that we just shouldn’t take weather forecast seriously and make all our plans depending on them.
I'm not often interested in what the weather will be like tomorrow since I seldom make any plans at all. If I need to, then I do read weather forecasts and they've been accurate enough so far, mostly. I'm afraid I don't have much else to say on this topic:)
Do you trust the weather forecast?
Well… Despite a lot of mistakes and inaccuracies, which are constantly made by meteorological services, I trust the weather forecast.
I agree that the weather forecast often looks like a prediction. And only one or two days forecasts could be more or less reliable. But anyway I’d like to know even these predictions. I think it’s better to take an umbrella then get wet in rain. By the way this is may be the least harmful effect - if you get wet I mean. There are a lot of really awful natural disasters such as storms, floods, earthquakes, tsunamis. So it’s better to know the weather forecast then stay in the dark.
Oh, no, I don’t! I’m not so naive) At any rate even in summer in Saint-Petersburg we have to have a jacket with a hood and gloves, sunglasses and an umbrella at the same time because the weather is very changeable. Sometimes we wait a lovely day but it turns out that there is bitterly cold!
Now not only English people like discussing weather but other nations as well. Especially topical the topic of weather has become among the people of the former Soviet Union. I see the reason of this in bad weather forecasts. We have lost the equipment and the whole services which observed the weather in the far past (specifically in times of Soviet Union). Now we are using foreign weather sites to predict weather in our countries. When the weather is stable, forecasts could be very reliable for weeks and even months. For example, when it is too hot in summer and there are no cyclones or any other atmosphere phenomena, the weather is stable and our meteorologists can predict it very truthfully and nicely. It is worse when there is one or several cyclones going around our country or neighboring countries. In that case it is difficult to believe any forecast even for the next day to say nothing about several days or weeks.
That is why I can conclude that I could believe at 90% likelihood in weather forecast for tomorrow, but not for the day after tomorrow. Of course when I plan some activities outside I must check the forecast and make sure that my idea about the nearest weather coincide with the forecast, but I cannot trust it in full.
I don't trust the weather forecasts at all and I never rely on them. I'd rather believe in the folk superstitions about the weather. They are often more accurate.
I trust the weather forecasts just as much as I trust divination. If I like the prediction - I believe it with all my heart. If I don't - well they are always wrong :)

Well, I believe weather forecasts, but only partially. I mean, that's the nature of any forecast, it's a prediction, it isn't guaranteed and it all is about a probability. I can have a look at the forecast for today and the next few days and get general impression of what the weather is going to be like. Also I'd like to note that in my experience the forecasts tend to be reliable in respect to the temperature rather than the atmospheric phenomenons like rain or snow. And for some reason national forecast services seem to be less accurate than foreign ones.
Yes, I believe ones. Weather forecasting is not reading the tea leaves but a high technologies science-based process. There are many weather stations all over the earth to measure many physics figures and make a forecast. Moreover, there are maps of weather showing a movement of clouds, rain areas in the real time. The forecasts now can predict the weather event to the nearest an hour. That's why I believe them and make my decisions taking into account the results weather forecasts.
Even if you don't believe weather forecasts, I think it is worth to believe sometimes. Because one day forecast predicted a rainy day, But I made up my mind put on light clothing without carrying an umbrella. Afterwards it stared raining and rained a lot that day. Next day I regreted that I hadn't taken my umbrella and trusted weather prediction.
If you ask me, I'd say that I'm not ready to rely on weather forecast completely. As far as I'm concerned, meteorological agencies tend to make mistakes when forecasting the weather now and then, even, given all high-spec technologies human beings have these days like sattelites, powerful computers etc.
The easiest way to check out what's up with the weather is to look out the window.
I seldom rely on the weather forecast because it is often incorrect. In the morning, I usually look out of the window or go outside and only then I decide what clothes to wear or whether to take an umbrella. Sometimes I can be curious about a long-term forecast.
for a long term - IN a long term/run
the tomorrow's / three-day / week's forecast - the forecast for tomorrow/ three days/a week
the tomorrow's forecast is true - the forecast for tomorrow is usually correct/accurate
can be correct occasionally - only occasionally can be correct
long-range forecasts can't be correct - ... can never be correct
are not magicianS

when it’s a rain was informed - when they report/predict rain
I don’t believe superstitions, too
"bucket" is a much more frequent word than "pail"
don't want to meet/come across a person with/carrying an empty bucket

trust-worthy - trustworthy (or both? not sure)
science behind the weather forecasts haS come a long way'
but they are still bad - yours is too direct, sth like "leave a lot/much to be desired", "far from perfect"
to avoid criticism - can they ever? maeby, sth like "to decrease ... - don't know
I usually rely on the weather forecasts - I usually rely on weather forecasts
But I tend to read about today and tomorrow - But I tend to read only about today and tomorrow
for longer period - for longer periodS/for a longer period
