It turns out "snaggletoothed" is not hyphenated.

No, there are at least 10 of them:
- 1,2,...,6 for each thousand of (general) words
- phrasal verbs
-prepositions
- linking expressions
- sentences I liked
What about you? How do you organise, store, retain and retrieve new words and expressions? Do you use ANKI, just good old paper or nothing at all?

I use Anki and Quizlet. Anki - for my own decks, Quizlet - just for tests on the units that I’ve recently covered with my teacher. Also, I leave margin notes (or underline text in ebooks) when I read and, once finished, I go over the notes to see what I’ve remembered and which words I’d like to have in my decks.

QwestDay,
I use Anki only for repetition, not for active study.
My memory is like a sieve, so it takes me a lot more than it normally would to actually learn something, English vocabulary included. So for each new word, I read its definitions (and translations), read quite a few examples in dictionaries, google more examples (sometimes I do domain-specific searches to see if the word is actually OK to use. Now I have added youglish.com to the procedure. When I feel comfortable using the word, I do use it. :) I make sentences, questions, etc. If there are particular grammar points I want to review, I include them in my sentences as well. When I’ve done (some of) this, I add a card to Anki if I feel like it. Sometimes it’s the other way round and I start creating a card, and look for context or examples in the process.
