Получается, что версия have a black belt in... Я просто несколько раз подряд слышал is a black belt.

He's a needle mover.

I was looking for a phrase equivalent to the Russian "что в лоб, что по лбу" when I came upon it
("six of one and half a dozen of the other" seemed somewhat trite to me)

In the very long term, we suggest that humans are evolving from individual genetic organisms to cultural groups which function as superorganisms, similar to ant colonies and beehives," Waring said in a statement. But genetics drives bee colonies, while the human superorganism will exist in a category all its own. What that superorganism looks like in the distant future is unclear, but it will likely take a village to figure it out.

Wasn't the idea of victory's having a hundred fathers taken by JFK from the Italian-to-English translation of somewhat earlier (around 1943) quote from Gian Galeazzo Ciano, an Italian fascist politician and Mussolini's son-in-law?

(the/a pot of gold at) the end of the rainbow - something very good which someone hopes or tries hard to get, but is not very likely to get - also the crock of gold (BrE?)
Repairing or regrowing damaged brain cells is the end of the rainbow for neuroscience research.
I would rather be honest with people than mislead them that there is going to be some pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
You're not going to find a crock of gold going into this business, but it's definitely lucrative enough to make a living.

I'm rubber, you're glue - (childish) a shortening of the phrase
"I'm rubber, you're glue, whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks to you",
which, like "sticks and stones (can break my bones...)" is a reply to an insult, indicating that the insult has been registered as such, but didn't have any effect.

Oops, a duplicate?
Indeed, even a tiny mouse won't slip by!:-)
So much the better! That it had already been mentioned in a year-old post doesn't mean nobody may have missed it.
So, on my part no harm has been done by adding it to this thread, I believe.
Besides, the thread "how to say", interesting and useful (IMO), has been inactive for quite a while.
So, your having added the link to it may help to revive it; and if it does so, many thanks will go to you, together with my thumbs-up to that link:-).

come to a head
to reach a point in a situation where action needs to be taken
a culmination of events leading to a conclusion
come to a crucial point
to come to a point when a problem must be solved
Example Sentences
The negative political climate in America seems to have come to a head.
The investigation came to a head last week when my colleague was found guilty of fraud.
The battle between the two factions of the city’s leading sport club came to a head today.
Origin
There are two possible origins for this phrase. Both dates back to the 1800s. In the first case the head refers to a head of lettuce. The farmer patiently waits for the leaves to come together to form a head of lettuce. This is the preferable story.
The other one is less palatable. It refers to a boil coming to a head and getting ready to burst. A boil is an infection that forms under the skin. A red lump starts to form and it slowly fills with white pus. After a few days the boil turns white and the pus is ready to come out.
The second story is most probably the origin of the phrase as boils were quite common in the 1800s. The phrase typically has a negative connotation, much like the skin abscess.
