No. I took a mental note of it, but I'm not sure if or when I'm going to read it.
Actually, I'd rather read 'English Grammar and Composition' by J.E. Warriner and 'The Elements of Style' by Strunk, White & Kalman first. They were both recommended in a group of an admirable teacher and seemed a potentially enlightening read.

Как меня учили, пока я не заленился и не плюнул на это все:
'Interesting' is no-word. The word tells nothing to your would-be reader as well as 'article'.
'Newsletter' is the important one. It defines the general style of your writing.
Then 'alumni' is the key. They are people you are supposed to address.
'Best' and 'worst' are also important. These are define at least two of yours paragraphs of the essay.

Я обзавелся учебниками Great Writing от NatGeo, в них много упражнений для последовательного развития навыков письма. Попробую пройти последовательно, подлатать дыры - потом отпишусь, насколько они полезны.
