When it comes to writing in Russian...Well, I don't know.
Back in my schooldays, I would get A whenever I had to write an essay, a composition, or anything of that sort. Never had any trouble with Russian, history, and Russian literature (although I really wasn't fond of the latter. I'm trying to replenish this gap now. I'm muddling through Devils by F.M. Dostoevsky, but, bizarre as it may seem, in English).

The thing is, I seem to have concentrated all my linguistic efforts on English, perhaps, at the expense of Russian.

I have a hard time remembering the last book I read in Russian and when exactly I read it. It must have been either Behemoth: The Structure and Practice of National Socialism by F.L.Neumann ('Бегемот. Структура и практика национал-социализма 1933-1944») or 'The Decline of the West' by Oswald Spengler. I doubt those books even slightly affected my Russian.

When it comes to reading, I completely switched to English five years ago or so, and, to tell the truth, I don't really feel like I am missing out on something. Now that I started to read 'Demons' by Dostoevsky, I am pondering about it, though. Not that it seems unnatural, quite the contrary. The English-speaking part of me is delighted to be reading it. As to its Russian counterpart...well, I don't know.

The only thing that I seem to have read in Russian must be some technical manuals and stuff like that, the only reason being me sometimes not knowing how the names of certain pieces of equipment match with their English counterparts that I must have read about before.)
Speaking about writing in Russian, I have to write some reports, e-mails, manuals, some sort of supplementary material etc. Looks like I haven't had any trouble with that.
