the same holds true for at home (BrE) vs home (AmE). That's why we watch 'Home Alone', and hear 'Are you home?' in Aremican films.
In 00:50 there is exactly like that.

That's a different case - no preposition with 'go/run to home' on both sides of the pond ("Yankee, go home!"):
What you heard is right there. It just didn't fit the grammatical context, so it had to be reintepreted according to the relaxed speech reductions.=) Speaking of which...

I thought that "to" is obvious so it can be omitted for the sake of the rhythm, and THE mama was the point.
It's proved to be wrong.
As I tell to my wife every now and then "don't think, just listen to".
It seems to be a good piece of advice to myself either.

LOL! What comes to mind is jack-in-the-box (a toy) and the idiom "the (other) shoe dropped" ))) Chaika, и какое будет ваше задание/пояснение к этому предложению?
Кстати, а к кому ваш коммент обращен/к чему относится?
With all due respect, но похоже кнопки "обратиться по никнейму" и "добавить цитату" вы принципиально игнорируете. Всегда. Нет? Then I appologize :-)

пояснение к этому предложению
Ending sentence with preposition
... Compound use
"A father of a little boy goes upstairs after supper to read to his son, but he brings the wrong book. The boy says, 'What did you bring that book that I don't want to be read to out of up for?'"[21]

Oh, so 'bring up' was literally 'bring upstairs'. When I read the sentence, I decided it was 'bring sth up in a conversation' :)
Yety, дружище, да где мне-то было к этой классике приобщаться?
Вот бы кто, к ней с юности причастный, ветку особую открыл, таких, как я, недоучек к высокому приобщать...
А так, только с миру по нитке собирать приходится, мало-помалу... Теперь-вот да, знаю... что ничего не знаю...
