British Council Teens: Animals in the City (v.short text, A2)
Quotation:

In Moscow in Russia, there are 35,000 wild dogs. The dogs live in parks, old houses, markets and train stations. Some dogs live in groups and others live alone. Many people in Moscow like the dogs. They give them food and water. Some people make small houses for the dogs in their gardens. This helps the dogs in winter, when the temperature in Moscow is -10 ºC and there is a lot of snow and ice.

places to go.

I'm currently reading a book 'A Street Cat Named Bob', which I decided to read after I'd accidentally seen a film on TV.
It's no literary masterpiece or action-packed page-turner, but it's a nice biography about a ginger tomcat and his ex-drug-addicted owner who earn their living busking on the streets of London. The book has loads of spoken British and some nice idioms altough the language isn't challenging at all.
So, if you want to read a book or watch a film about a cat, you may choose this one :)
