colourful с одной l, но я уверена, что это опечатка.
В третьей строчке у вас again два раза подряд, а в пятой много герундиев, I delight in seeing children playing где, для меня это чуть-чуть тяжеловесно, я бы вместо delight in взяла что-то с инфинитивом. Больше ничего не нашла, да и это стилистические придирки)

I do love snow, yes. In fact, I like it so much I find the words our dictionaries have for describing it insufficient. I vaguely remember reading somewhere that a certain tribe had more than thirty or fifty words that were all connected with snow – a random fact so strangely beautiful it had lingered in my mind for years until I found out it had been made up by someone. Disappointing as it is, this small linguistic fraud may, in fact, have a poetic side to it – if someone took the trouble to invent such a story, doesn’t it mean that they, themselves, could see the thirty or more conditions snow can assume, and thought that each of them deserved a name of its own? And doesn't the light powder of snow falling on plum petals – a thing of exquisite beauty, according to Chinese poets – call for a different name to separate it from the never-melting snow piles on the Alps?

Personally, I get no true joy from looking at the white snow covering the ground, trees and roofs of the houses. For me, snow is associated with cold, falling on slippery sidewalks, short days and long nights. However, I enjoy watching wintry and snowy landscapes by different world painters. To sum it up, I do not like snow as a sort of physical substance but I admire it as the visual image.

Oh, no, I don't, as I was born and grew up in the area where we had a great amount of snow almost throughout the year! I'm completely fed up with snow)
When I see it, I feel sad and rueful as though there is nothing but hopelessness...

No, I don't. Snow means bad roads, cold apartments, freezing winds and running noses. I might be enchanted by the first snow just for a couple of seconds but no longer. Those weightless snowflakes will melt and then freeze again making the streets of my town slippery and impenetrable. This winter could have been perfect with just little snow only enough for kids to have their fun. But here it comes again. More snow. First, it covered the ground with thin layer, then our yard was knee-deep in snow. Next, the children could not get to school. Extra holidays for them and extra concerns for me. I can't find any reasons to like snow but the fact that it will melt at the end helps me tolerate it.

J’aime la neige parce que j’adore skier. J´ai passé mes vacances en montagne plusieurs fois et j’ai beaucoup aimé ces vacances merveilleuses. J’espère que je pourrai d’y aller l’année prochaine.

I like snow, although I don’t like winter very much in general. I like snow when the weather is warm and sunny.
It is amazing how each snowflake is different and how they are shining in the sun shine in the sun.
My kids, unlike me, love winter and especially snow especially. They like to make making snow angels, to build building a snowman outside and to have having a snowball fight.

Frankly speaking, I have mixed feelings about snow. For one thing, I really like to grab a handful and feel its frosty bite on the tips of my fingers. And for another, the crispy sound it makes when you take that first step in the morning.
Yet (there's always a 'yet' :), I truly hate the sloshy-slushy greyish-brownish substance it turns into on the roads. Oh, and that nasty prickly stuff that stings your face like small hornets -- I shudder to think about it.

I think a lot of people love snow. I like snow because I like skiing. I go skiing in the park every winter. Sometimes I ski ten or more kilometres. After I ski, I'm tired, but I feel healthy and happy. There is always a lot of snow in our area in the winter. When snow is coming, I know the winter is coming too. I love winter because we celebrate The New Year. It's my favourite celebration. Snow means for me good activities and holiday.

Мне кажется, тогда лучше I really like grabbing. Или я где-то что-то упустила.

For some reason it didn't sound right to me here. Though I can't explain why. For instance, 'I like grabbing a coffee on my way to work' does sound ok. However, 'I like grabbing a handful (of snow)'...hmmm...odd somehow.

Juliemiracle, ну как-то сейчас это звучит, как будто Вы регулярно это делаете и, например, считаете, что от этого есть какая-то польза (BrE). ))))

Вот как раз про кофе я бы сказала бы I like to grab a cup of coffee... подразумевая больше привычку, а не просто эмоциональную составляющую.

I like grabbing a handful of snow можно заменить на I delight in grabbing a handful of snow...

Ah, the infinitive implies an action one likes to do from time to time or under certain circumstances while the gerund conveys an action in general

Do you like snow?

I like snow, but only when it's white, not grey. When it's sunny and not too cold and windy, snow looks amazing: so shiny, like millions of diamonds. Unfortunately, my eyes hurt sometimes, when snow sparks especially bright.
However, if I close my eyes and just breathe, I feel that when it snows, air is different: fresher and cleaner. Also I like sound of snow crunching under my feet.

Not that much now, but as a child, I used to. I remember that strong feeling of excitement and anticipation when you wake up in the morning and take a deep breath just to feel the air, to feel if it is freezing enough, if that day has come, if it is time to race to the window keeping your eyes tight shut so as not to scare away the winter. And then, at the window, with your eyes closed, you know these grey, rainy, miserable days are gone. It must be there, and yet you are still waiting for a few more seconds. You feel it, you feel the light on your face. The sun is shining bright and differently, and you know the reason. You take the plunge and open your eyes wide. You go blind right away because it is dazzlingly bright, but you have seen it and you are happy.

I don't think the distinction has been lost. The analysis in your first post seems to me to be perfectly valid.

И вот тот самый первый пост, который явно подчеркивает разницу между like doing & like to do

I always use "like +ing" when I mean that something causes me pleasure.

I like eating in restaurants. (makes me happy)

But I use "like+to" to talk about something I do which is convenient or generally a sensible idea. But don't necessarily like.

I like to go to the dentist twice a year. I dislike going to the dentist but wish to conserve my teeth.

I like to do the housework in the morning. I get it out of the way and can do other things after lunch.

I like to get up at five in the morning and go for a ten mile run. I dislike getting up early and hate running, but I'm a diabetic and it does wonders for my blood sugar.
